Ellen Broatch Anderson

After graduating from Campolindo, I attended UCLA Freshman and Sophomore years. I did the UC Education Abroad Program and attended University of Madrid Junior year. Before and after the school year, I traveled extensively from Morocco to Finland on various trips with my family and my boyfriend. Back to UCLA for my senior year.

I landed a part time job as a Legal Secretary to the Litigation Partner of a West LA law firm with no legal experience! I had considered going to law school with my boyfriend. Upon graduation, the firm offered me a paralegal position and paid my tuition at UCLA Paralegal School. I obtained Paralegal degrees in Litigation and Probate. I realized I didn't want to be an attorney as my interest is/was investigation research and management. I ended up working for a Beverly Hills Law firm for 20 years and then I started my research business and worked for the firm and break off firms. I also served as trustees on trusts. I also did some modeling including print work, pageants and runway. I am currently doing property management.

I moved to Hermosa Beach the year after graduation from UCLA. I have lived in all 3 of the beach cities and love the beach life style. The median temperature is 72 degrees and you can walk everywhere. I enjoy the healthy, casual beach lifestyle. The sunsets are amazing. I also spend some time in the bay area.

I really enjoyed the Campolindo years. The school was a great blend of academics, social activities, etc. in a beautiful surrounding. I feel Campolindo prepared me well for UCLA. I went to all the games, dances, proms and concerts at Campolindo as well as dances and proms at Del Valle. I especially enjoyed the amazing rock concerts at Campolindo - Santana, Grateful Dead, Joy of Cooking, etc. We even had light shows at our dances Sophomore year. I remember Prismatic Revenge with Dana Bartle did the light shows at some of the dances.

I have been to many rock concerts and continue to go. I am so glad that concerts are back!
